Berth lengths and draughts
Quay No. 4 can accommodate vessels with a maximum length of 130 m and a draft of 6,5 m. The handling of cargo is done by marine personnel. The port operates one slipway for the repairing of vessels up to 200 tons. The fishing industry is the biggest user of this facility. Mossel Bay is the only port in South Africa that has a C.B.M. and S.P.M. within port limits.
