Introduction
Classification: Class LLOYDS REGISTER 100 A1 "Hopper Dredger" with the descriptive notation "Trailing Suction Dredger". (Twin-Screw, bow-well suction and single side pipe trailing suction hopper dredger with bowthruster).
This trailing suction hopper dredger was built by I.H.C. Holland and commissioned in 1981

The dredger is powered by four MAK, 1290kWdiesel engines that provide the propulsion and power to the pumps. The INGWENYA is equipped with a PDS1000 dredging package, integrated with DGPS and depth indicator equipment.
