The dredger is powered by four Siemens generators with a nominal power of 1120kW each, that provide propulsion and power pumps. The drive for the main generators is provided by for MAK diesel engines with nominal power of 1435KW each. The PIPER is equipped with PDS1000 dredging package, integrated with DGPS and depth indicator equipment.
